Article Description
Field scientific observation and research station is the innovation base for researchers in the field of ecology, geosciences, agriculture, environmental science, material science, and other fields to carry out long-term observation and scientific research. It is the indispensable and important component of national science and technology innovation system. Based on multi-year followup investigation, combined with the current national science and technology innovation and ecological civilization construction requirements, the experts from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, advise that the importance and coordination of field scientific observation research should be enhanced on the national level, as well as the stable support for the field observation stations, thus strengthening this important base for the fundamental research.
