Research on the influence of digital economy on export product quality :Based on the mediating role of innovation

Based on China macro city database and micro enterprise database, this paper uses principal component analysis method to calculate the digital economy development level of 276 prefecture-level cities in China, and calculates the export product quality of micro enterprises, and investigates the effect of digital economy on China's export product quality and the mechanism of innovation. The results show that the development of digital economy has a significant improvement effect on the quality of export products, and this conclusion remains consistent after the test of the replacement of explanatory variables and explained variables. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the impact of digital economy on the quality of export products of heterogeneous enterprises is obviously different, digital economy is more conducive to the improvement of export product quality of private enterprises, processing trade enterprises, enterprises in eastern China, low productivity enterprises and low quality enterprises; The mediating effect test shows that enterprise innovation and regional innovation play a partial mediating role in the process of digital economy affecting export product quality, and digital economy driving innovation level plays a role in the upgrade of export product quality.
