Article Description
The rural development is a very important issues in recent eras that needs special attention as more than 60% of the total population is living in rural areas and it is equally important to strengthen the rural economy which contributes significantly to the GDP of the country. Due to the lack of knowledge and use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in rural areas, development is at a very low rate. There has been some improvement and advancement in the technologies provided by the government but there is no more effect in the development of rural areas. Information and Communication Technologies are developing day by day but are less applicable in rural areas. Lack of communication and resources are the cause of undeveloped. The present paper focuses on impact of effectiveness of ICT policy on agriculture development, education, rural economic development and e-governance in rural development and providing appropriate suggestions & strategies for the development in rural areas.
